I've been having a huge problem and even the technical support guys I use are stumped! I have a calendar in Windows Live that has always sync'd with my calendar on my iPhone-apparently because the calendar on my phone was set up as an Exchange account/calendar. I am now using Outlook for Mac and we can't get the calendar to sync with either the phone or WLM calendar. However, Apple have advised that if I can get Outlook on my Windows Vista machine (the one I use WLM on) I can then sign into my??? (icloud or exchange account)?go to icloud control panel and somehow sync them. Basically, the calendar that I want is sitting under my Exchange (heading) on my iPhone-I need it to sit under 'icloud'. I don't mind not being able to use the calendar in Outlook (if it doesn't sync with anything)-I understand Outlook for Windows does more stuff than Outlook for Mac)?

But I'd like to be able to access my (current) Exchange calendar on www.icloud.com so that I can start to use that calendar so that I can have access to my calendar on both my Mac and Windows PC. Does anyone know what I am talking about:). If yes, you are a star! I have yet to explain to my tech guys what Apple have advised and hope they understand.

They were thinking I might have to rely on using my Windows Live calendar (via the 'Live' website) on both computers but I really don't like that website; it's not as user friendly or smooth-operating as the icloud. If you know what I am on about and can break down what I need to do step by step, I'd be grateful! Hi Corentin, Many thank for this-I am forever sending MS feedback:) but will add this one to the list!

Given what you've said, I'm wondering what the best solution would be for me, given I would like to use the following devices for my appointments: 1. Mac (Outlook for Mac) but I can also use a web based calendar on my Mac (iCloud etc) 2. Windows Vista (Windows Live Mail Calendar) 3. IPhone I don't have a gmail email address (or if I do I don't use it)! Powerpoint Animation Transition. do I need one to use Gmail in the way you describe (with CalDav)?

Is iCloud similar to Gmail in the way it functions? Which calendar is easier to use? I liked my calendar in Windows Live Mail and even the one on iCloud doesn't work in the same way-visually I find it harder, etc. It's all about what we are used to I suppose.

I'm wondering what you'd do if you were me, using the above devices? Many thanks and best wishes. Just to add: I don't mind if I have to use a web based calendar on my Mac provided it is user friendly and 'functions' like my WLM calendar (I'm just used to it). Having said that, I've looked at' Calendar' on my Mac and like how it looks (I prefer it to the web based iCloud version).I just want to be able to see my events in my WLM calendar (on my very old Vista machine) and see the same events in my Mac calendar. I've read about the possibility of purchasing an Exchange account-I'd rather not have to do that but on a similar note, I realise that Office do not make their programme for Vista anymore; if I obtained an old version of Office for my Vista machine, and I installed Outlook on it-would that help me to solve this problem? Apple advised that I could install Outlook and then do something via exporting my WLM to Exchange or iCloud (I forget what they said)! But have tried to liaise with my tech guys in the hopes they know what Apple are on about.
