Game Maker 8.1 Scrolling Shooter
With the GameMaker program open, click 'help', then 'tutorials', then select the Scrolling Shooter tutorial. Follow this tutorial to complete a nice scrolling shooter game.

There is also a tutorial file below for the same game. Use whichever tutorial is easier for you. You may also search YouTube for a video tutorial for this game, if you wish. The resources are also below in a.zip file.
Download, unzip, and save to a convenient location. Follow ALL steps and submit your completed game.
This project contains the instructions, image files, sound files and example games to create a scrolling shooter like the 1945 arcade game. This is at the intermediate to high level. In this project I will show you how to program the following with detailed step-by-step instructions. The only thing you need is gamemaker program available for free at Requirements for Scrolling Shooter Sprites for your plane, and 3 enemies planes. Plane moves using arrow keys.
Plane shoots enemies for points. Points, lives and score are displayed. 3 or more timers are created to spawn more enemies. 3 or more enemies that have different actions are created. Plane can collect at least one power up to make plane more powerful. Game Splash screen is created. End boss Plane is created that can shoot and move and has health.
Extra credit Power Ups Bombs Multi-directional shooting.
