The twists also come rather heavily, but rather than being contrived plot twists, they are shocking twists on character. It plays with the notion of an audience thinking they know somebody after a short amount of screentime. It has many good points, and rarely any bad, but there just isn't enough to push it over into brilliance. A worthwhile film, if only for the jump from predictable melodrama, to vicious crime violence.
