Faculty

The Accelerated Bachelors of Science in Nursing Program (ABSN) is for non-RN students who already hold a bachelor’s degree in a field other than nursing. In order to apply, you must have graduated by the end of the presiding fall quarter or semester to apply for that summer's ABSN program. One cohort of students is admitted each year to start their program in June. Students will complete approximately 53 semester units of study in both didactic and clinical coursework over 15 months of study.

Upon completion of the program, students will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cal State LA. Completion of the degree program enables individuals to sit for the NCLEX examination for RN licensure.

Cal State East Bay’s Master of Science in Nursing program prepares you for advance practice as health educators, consultants, and administrative leaders. Throughout the program, you’ll broaden your knowledge and skills so that you can serve as an effective leader in various educational and health care settings. The MS in Nursing program is surprisingly achievable and especially convenient for busy working adults like you.
